Check for NFS usage (just in case)

mount | grep nfs

Double-Check: Are NFS services really in use?

systemctl is-active nfs-server

If it returns: inactive or failed
Then NFS is not in use, and you can safely disable

rpcbind

and related services.

# Stop services

systemctl stop rpcbind nfs-server

# Disable them at boot

systemctl disable rpcbind nfs-server

# Mask to prevent accidental restart

systemctl mask rpcbind nfs-server

Check if port is closed now

ss -tuln | grep 111

If you still see that the process is still running then do the following

systemctl stop rpcbind.socket

systemctl disable rpcbind.socket

systemctl mask rpcbind.socket

ss -tuln | grep 111
